Made within 14 days for the HoloJam #3 game jam!
Post-Jam Updates:
- Opening cutscene is now skippable
- Baelz's invincibility period is more visually accurate
- Updated Bijou's crystal SFX and VFX
- Baelz now flashes red when hit by a crystal
- Player also deals more damage during higher difficulties, to incentivize risk for reward.
- Fixed a bug where other actions would stop the player from shooting.
- Fixed a bug where player could still be defeated after boss defeat.
- Added an option for even louder feet clinks (goes from [Off > Normal > Loud])
- Rebalanced audio
Theme: Chaos
Summary:
With the world plunged into chaos (by chaos herself), it's up to the gem of emotions, Koseki Bijou, to face against her rival, Hakos Baelz, to free the world from its cage of ice. Surely they're not just acting overly dramatic and edgy for the sake of looking cool...right?
Both you and Hakos Baelz's attacks get stronger depending on how high her dice rolls are. Dice can be rerolled to turn the tide in your favor. Either roll high and increase your damage, but be met with a heavy barrage of attacks, or roll low and play it slow.

*Controller left Joystick seems to be a bit bugged at the moment, but D-pad still works.
Tips:
- The player's hitbox is much smaller than the player itself! The hitbox is actually the gem on Bijou's chest.
- Use a block if you think you're about to be hit! Blocks give 1 second of invincibility and recharges one block every 25 seconds.
- Hakos Baelz is invincible while rolling her dice! Focus on rerolling during this time instead!

Short and fun game!
My first run ended in a tie as I managed to get Bae's HP to zero but then I got hit by a bullet and died too. XD
Love the pixelart and the character portraits!
Didn't use the shield or the jump as it was enough to just shoot sideways or aiming up to damage Bae and I just had to move a bit to the side to dodge the incoming attacks.
The Bae die roll mechanic is what makes this game stand out! It was fun to accidentally shoot the die when it was at a low value and end up rolling a high one. XD
Great game!
